Property Description
Nestled among the mountains of Gilmer County this cozy rustic cabin awaits! Over 100 year old hand hewn logs were used to construct this cabin. Originally a trapper cabin, the logs were moved from Suches to this beautiful 2.9 acre lot. The logs were reassembled, restored and updated into 1,232 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with wood, ceramic tile and carpet floors. Wrap around porch with new railing, new fascia and exterior stain, four year old HVAC, updated appliances and lighting, Buck wood stove with stone hearth. Will not find another home with the history or allure as this rare gem! Beautiful park like setting, landscaping with rocks found on property, located on ALL usable land with wildlife galore making “porch sitting” extra special. Surrounded by small creeks, a stocked quarter acre pond with bridge to island with fire pit. Large fenced backyard for pets, wood sheds, storage building with electricity, chicken coop with run, fabulous well water, and a fenced garden. Peaceful mountain living at its best! Located on a gravel, dead end road with GREAT neighbors. No HOA just respectful, friendly, good neighbors. Five miles to downtown Ellijay. There will a deed restriction of no short term or long term rentals on the property.
